RFID TAGGING TREES AND HELI-LOGGING PROTOTYPE

Working with FERIC on a research project, designed and developed a touch screen application to be used in a heli-logging application. Trees tagged with active RFID tags capable of transmitting 300 meters were evaluated. The application was tested to locate the trees and determine if the technology would be useable in the helicopter cockpit. The development qualified for a SR & ED tax refund for innovations in wireless networks.
